H1N1 Clinics Announced for Sunday

FAIRFIELD - Solano County Public Health will hold two free public H1N1 clinics scheduled for this Sunday, Jan. 31.

The walk-in clinics will administer both the nasal flu mist vaccine and shots for as long as supplies are available.

While anyone wishing to receive the vaccine is welcome. Children age nine and under who received an initial vaccination at least three weeks ago are encouraged to receive a second vaccination, or booster dose.

People in the following high risk groups are particularly encouraged to attend:
  • Pregnant Women
  • Household and caregiver contacts of children younger than 6 months of age (e.g. parents, siblings, and daycare providers)
  • Health Care and emergency medical services providers
  • Persons from 6 months through 24 years of age
  • Persons aged 25 through 64 years who have medical conditions associated with higher risk of influenza complication
